Heart: Metaphor Poem

“Love yourself enough to walk into only the rooms and situations that show care and love for you. Love yourself enough to walk out of the rooms that harm you in any way. Love yourself enough to hold the people who harm you accountable for their words and actions."

- Cleo Wade, Heart Talk: Poetic Wisdom for a Better Life

Heart Talks is a Metaphor poem.

Prompt by Robert Lee Brewer for 2021 April Poem-A-Day Challenge Day 8.

Heart talks

My heart is a deep ocean

which beats in a wave like rhythm

When the hurricanes come by

Wild waves throw tantrums of tides

Any pleasant sunny day

Heart smiles when winds and waves play
